LaDaya “Kami” Owens is an accomplished Human Resources executive, consultant, educator, and organizational leader with extensive experience driving people strategies that support organizational growth, workforce engagement, and leadership development. Based in the United States, Kami brings a unique blend of strategic HR expertise, operational leadership, and global business insight to organizations across nonprofit, healthcare, retail, and consulting sectors.
Kami currently serves as a Senior Human Resources Consultant with Hanna Resource Group and is the 2026 President of the Louisville Society for Human Resource Management (LSHRM), one of Kentucky’s leading professional HR organizations. Throughout her career, she has held progressive HR leadership roles, including Human Resources Business Partner for Home of the Innocents, supporting a workforce of more than 600 employees, Human Resources Business Partner for Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, supporting over 800 employees, and Human Resources Manager for Lowe’s Home Improvement, where she helped lead one of the region’s top-performing locations.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Campbellsville University, and is completing her Ph.D. in Education and Social Change at Bellarmine University. Her doctoral research focuses on cultural competency and inclusive leadership within the workplace.
Recognized nationally and locally for her leadership and service, Kami has received numerous honors, including Louisville Business First’s Forty Under 40, the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) Award, HR.com’s Emerging Leader recognition, and Bellarmine University’s Women in Leadership Award. She is also a dedicated educator, mentoring future leaders and teaching Human Resources at the university level.
